My friend Caldwell has been photographing Pittsburgh’s Haus of Haunt (Sharon Needles, Cherri Baum, Alaska Thunderfuck and Veruca la Piranha) for thousands of years. Recently she’s put together a gorgeous intimate book, The Haus of Haunt: Watch Children, which documents the queens on and off stage, and sometimes in rusty musty Pittsburgh scenery. There’s also a lot of penis. And ME (lost in some crowd shots). A few weeks ago she showed me an early proof of the book to get my opinion and I was captured by the energy and intimacy. There’s a larger version, too (textbook price but more educational). Make your coffee table cunty. I can’t wait for the final episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race this Monday to see if Sharon wins.
